AA-2G

AA-2G (L-ascorbic acid 2-glucoside), which we invented and developed, is a stable and long-lasting vitamin C derivative that solves the weakness of conventional vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), which is delicate, fragile, and is quickly excreted from the body. Here, we introduce its strength.

POINT 01 It is stable and safe.

One of the reasons why vitamin C is so fragile is that it is broken down just by being exposed to oxygen. Glucose (Dextrose) is combined to a fragile part of L-ascorbic acid biotechnologically, resulting in the formation of L-ascorbic acid 2-glucoside (AA-2G).
This made it possible to maintain stability against heat, light, and water.
Since AA-2G is made only from vitamin C and glucose, there is no risk of harm to the body.

POINT 02 It lasts,
so it prevails.

Vitamin C is rapidly absorbed and any excess is quickly excreted from the body.
AA-2G, however, is hydrolyzed gradually by internal enzymes and the vitamin C that is produced is absorbed continuously. Therefore, vitamin C is supplied to the bloodstream for about 3 to 6 times longer than usual, and is distributed throughout the body.

POINT 03 Also for active lightening ingredient.

Vitamin C derivative, AA-2G, is also well known as an "active lightening ingredient" as defined by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. It is recognized as effective in suppressing melanin production and preventing spots and freckles due to sunburn.
This is why AA-2G is used not only in our products but also in various cosmetics.

*Lightening means to prevent spots and freckles by suppressing the production of melanin.

AA-2G, born out of a university laboratory.

AA-2G was invented in 1989 by Itaru Yamamoto, founding president, who was a professor at Okayama University and Norio Muto, our current director in charge of research and development, who was his collaborator.
No matter how revolutionary a new drug developed is, it is only a symptomatic treatment for a disease after which has occurred, and is difficult to completely cure. Then, can a body be made less susceptible to disease to begin with?
AA-2G, which was developed based on this concept of preventive medicine, is now used not only in "The C" but also in a variety of foods and cosmetics.
